FSA has list of eligible voters for FSA Committee Elections

FSA HAS LIST OF ELIGIBLE VOTERS FOR FSA COMMITTEE ELECTIONS
A list of names of all persons eligible to vote in the upcoming annual FSA committee member election is available for inspection in the Lincoln Parish FSA Office, reported Robert Moore, Chairman of the Farm Service Agency Committee in Lincoln Parish.
Elections will be by mail ballot between November 6 & December 7. Voters can request ballots at the Parish FSA Office. FSA an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture administers farm commodity and conservation programs for farmers & makes farm ownership and operating loans. Anyone who meets the following requirements is eligible to vote in Parish FSA committee elections: Any individual of legal voting age with an interest in a farm as owner, operator, tenant, or sharecropper and who is eligible to participate in any FSA program. Mr. Moore said that here in Louisiana, the spouse of an eligible voter is also eligible to vote. A person under legal age can vote, if he or she runs a farm, and a legal guardian who runs a farm for a child can vote for the child. No person can be denied the right to vote because of race, sex, age, color, religion, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or national origin, or martial or familial status. A person may cast a ballot in any parish in which he or she is an eligible voter, but a voter may not vote in more than one local administrative area in a parish or area. If an eligible voter has separate farm interests in more than one local administrative area in the same parish, special care will be taken to see that only one ballot is issued to that voter.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all of its programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and martial or family status. (Not all prohibited bases apply to all programs.) Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (Braille, larger print, audiotape, etc.) should contact USDA’s Target Center at 202-720-2600 (voice and TDD). USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
