Louisiana Junior Cattlemen of the Year Award

Louisiana Junior Cattlemen of the Year Award

This year’s Louisiana Junior Cattlemen of the year award goes to Ms. Avery Boone. Avery is a senior at West Ouachita High School. She plans to go to college at Louisiana Tech and study pre-veterinarian and then futher her education at LSU to be a veterinarian. Avery has been showing cattle in 4-H for seven years and partners in Cross B Angus Farm with her father Terry Boone. Avery is a person that exhibits great character, showman skills, and one who will be a great asset to our cattle industry. Observing Avery throughout the years, I have seen her obtain knowledge, leadership skills, and the work ethics of a true cattleman. Not only does she possess these skills, but is willing to share them with others and lend a hand anywhere it is needed. Congratulations for all your hard work and dedication Ms. Avery Boone.
