Horse Facts Horse Facts: The “horse box” - or horse trailer, as we know it—was invented in England in 1836 by Lord George Bentinck. Drawn by six horses, it was invented for the purpose of getting his race horses from one track to the next in a rested condition. Previously, horses had been hacked between race tracks.
