In mid-April I attended a Hill Farm Poultry Board meeting. While at that meeting, I questioned the integrator personnel in attendance (Foster Farms, Raeford, and Pilgrim’s) about the income and expense projections they were now using. I was shocked to hear that the projections were no longer put in writing due to lawsuits filed against the integrators. How can a lender and a prospective grower calculate income and expenses for a loan if the integrator doesn’t supply them with projections?... read more
