Just Rambling January 2016

Just Rambling:

I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas with their families and friends. We sure did and we are looking forward to the New Year of 2016. I wish each of you a very happy and prosperous New Year. It seems only yesterday that we began 2015, now we are beginning 2016. How time flies. I have always heard that the older you get the faster the days go by—I’m living it now so I can attest to that. May God bless each of you during the coming year and may we all be thankful to God for all his many blessings.

Ag Trader USA had another good year and we are so thankful to our advertisers and to our subscribers for helping make this possible. Without you, Ag Trader USA couldn’t exist, so again, Thank you for your support. We look forward to another good year. This February we will begin our 10th year of publication.

I would like to say Congratulations to Mr. Jimmy Hoppe for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in the rice industry. Donnette and I met Jimmy in Washington D. C. many years ago during a National 4-H Leadership Program. We now see Jimmy each year during the Ag Expo held at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe. Jimmy is a fine individual and is very deserving of this award. See page 12 for more information about Jimmy and the rice industry.

As we go into 2016 I would like to end my Just Rambling with Psalm 1: 1-3 which is a favorite reading of mine. As you read it think about it and let’s pattern our lives after this chapter during 2016.

1. Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night,

3. He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither,
And whatever he does shall prosper.

Remember:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Cor. 2:9
