Farm Bureau Announces Photo Contest Winners Source: www.fb.org WASHINGTON, D.C., April 15, 2016 - Twelve photographs submitted by 10 Farm Bureau members and staff were selected as the winners of the 2015 Farm Bureau Photo Contest. Winners were selected in each of the four categories of the 2015 photo contest, held by the American Farm Bureau Federation together with the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. Winning photos accurately portray today's farm and ranch families and their efforts to engage with consumers while maintaining a safe and healthy place to work and live. The winners by category are: Consumer Outreach: Lindsey Triplett of Conway, Arkansas, first place; Laurie Link, of Meadville, Missouri, second place; Charlene Chappell of Brevard, North Carolina, third place. Farm Family: Laurie Link of Meadville, Missouri, first place; Lauren Heinrich of Canyon, Texas, second place; Krystal Doolittle of Williams, Iowa, third place. Farm Labor: Kellie Neufeld of Exeter, California, first place; Larry Blain of Spanish Fork, Utah, second place; Velvet Roberts of Spearsville, Louisiana, third place. Technology: Lauren Heinrich of Canyon, Texas, first place; Katherine Plessner of Verona, North Dakota, second place; Lynn Bolin of Clarksville, Iowa, third place. Additionally, judges selected a Best in Show and two runners-up from the pool of winning images. Neufeld took Best in Show, Heinrich took first runner-up and Blain took second runner-up. Winners will be highlighted at the AFBF Annual Convention, Jan. 6-11 in Phoenix, Arizona, and the top three placing photos in each category, as well as Best in Show, will receive monetary prizes. First place winners will be awarded $150, second place, $100 and third place, $75. The Best in Show winner will receive $400. Placing photos will also be used by AFBF and related companies in publications and promotions in the future.
