Just Rambling June 2016

Just Rambling:
About the Front Cover:
Sunday, May 22, 2016 was the day we had planned for during the past few months—this was the day that our 4th daughter, Dana Bennett, was married to Randy Alexander of Alex, Oklahoma. Dana and Randy had met at a church camp in Oklahoma several years before. Since that time, Dana had received her B. S. degree in Animal Science from Louisiana Tech University, and her Master’s degree in Education there as well (she graduated on May 21, 2016). Since they met, Randy has spent five years in the U.S. Marine Corp and has been stationed in Japan, Cuba, and Germany, along with several other bases in the United States. Randy received his discharge from the Marines in February, at which time he moved to Louisiana to begin attending Louisiana Tech University in Agri-culture Business. Dana has been teaching for the past two years while completing her Master’s degree, and she will continue to teach. You also know her as a writer for Ag Trader USA– she will begin writing again next month.
The wedding was held outside at our home with Reverend Jonathan Long performing the ceremony, and his wife, Jayde, serving as the Matron of Honor. Both Jade and Jonathan have been friends of Dana’s for several years. After months of preparation for an out-side wedding, the Lord blessed Dana and Randy with a beautiful day for their wedding—not only did we have a beautiful day, but during the wedding ceremony, He sent a nice breeze to help cool everyone off. I gave the Lord a silent thank you when that breeze came, because I really needed it, as you can imagine if you have been through a daughter’s wedding.
Below on the left front cover are Dana and Randy with Brother Jonathan performing the ceremony. The next photo is of Dana and Randy with Dana’s dog, Charlie, who was also in the wedding. Charlie was led by our granddaughter, Savanah, who was a brides-maid. Charlie behaved great, except he got a little hot. The next photo is of Dana with her horse, Josey, who also observed part of the wedding. The last photo is of Josey, Dana, and Randy. We had a beautiful wedding, and we welcome Randy Alexander to our family. Dana and Randy enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Branson, Missouri, and to Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
