Just Rambling November 2016

Just Rambling:
When you read this “Just Rambling” America will have elected a new president. We have been bombarded with this poll and that poll but the race has been so tight that no one has definitely been able to predict a winner. When I think about the two candidates running I think about some quotes by Will Rogers. Will Rogers said, “I don’t make jokes, I just watch the government and report the facts.” Will Rogers was born in 1879 and was killed in a plane crash in 1935. Government during his lifetime had problems just as it has in our time. Another quote by Will Rogers was, “What the country needs is dirtier fingernails and cleaner minds.” Isn’t that so true? We need more people working and our minds need to be clean and filled with Godly thoughts. He also said, “Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip.” Think about this quote. It was said when there was no email or video. Both of our presidential candidates should have heeded the advice in this quote. Just like a parrot, the email and video can tell the story about an individual, as we have seen during this campaign year. Regardless of what we have seen or what we have heard about both of these candidates since they have been running for the office—one will be elected as our next President. After the election, regardless of which one is elected, may we as citizens of this nation unite and may we pray for our new president and our country. Let us pray that our nation will return to the Christian principals that it was founded upon and that our nation will become a true Christian nation again. Pray that all our leaders will look to God for strength to lead this nation the way God would have it to go and may we as citizens of this great nation always stand firm behind the Inspired Word of God or as Ronald Reagan said, “We will be a nation gone under.”
We at Ag Trader USA would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving holiday. It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is upon us for the year 2016. It seems only yesterday that we were ringing in this new year of 2016. How time fly's. They say life is like a roll of toilet tissue– the closer to the end you get, the faster it goes. I can attest to that. James 4:14 tells us that “Life is a vapor, appearing for a little time and then vanishes away.” We must make the most of life while we are here because our time on this earth is short. This Thanksgiving and every day let us follow the Psalmist advice of Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Again, Ag Trader USA wishes you and yours a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. Van Bennett
