USDA Delays New Organic Standards Rule

USDA Delays New Organic Standards Rule Source: Beltway Beef Newsletter USDA has delayed the implementation of the Obama Administration's Organic Livestock and Poultry Practices rule until November 14. This decision makes the second time the implementation date has pushed and this time, USDA is asking whether the rule should go into effect at all. NCBA previously submitted comments on the flawed rule and maintains that USDA should withdraw the current rule and work with all producers to draft a rule that gives consumers choice and producers marketing opportunities without disparaging conventional products.
