LSU AgCenter Northeast Research Station field day set for June 20

LSU AgCenter Northeast Research Station field day set for June 20 Writer: Karol Osborne at 318-574-2465 or kosborne@agcenter.lsu.edu (The LSU AgCenter Northeast Research Station will showcase research and demonstration plots at a pest management and crop production field day on June 20 in St. Joseph. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts. Field tours will run from 9-11 a.m. followed by crop and administrative updates and a sponsored lunch. The field tours will depart from behind the main office building. The Northeast Research Station is located on Hwy 605 north of St. Joseph. A broad range of topics will be covered, including:— Row rice production.— Cover crop management.— Current topics in field crop pathology.— Precision planting.— Cotton pest management and field crop insect update.— New herbicide technologies. — Crop irrigation and water policy and programs.
