Just Rambling November 2017

Just Rambling:
This month we are dedicating our front cover to our Veterans as it is Veteran’s Day on November 11th but primarily because it seems many people today don’t realize or appreciate what our veterans have done for our nation. Without our veterans, would we have a nation as we know it today? No! We would not. The freedoms and the rights we enjoy in this nation would be non-existent without the sacrifices our veterans have made for this country. Many in my family have served in the military and in war which includes my father and father-in-law. The most recent veteran, in my family, is my son-in-law Randy Alexander who was a Marine for five years. When I see people disrespecting our flag I want to tell them they need to find another country to live in—I think they would soon want to return to America. Many that disrespect our flag have become rich by living in this nation and I am not just talking about NFL players. There are many other individuals of all races that apparently need a rude awakening to find out how blessed they are to live in America. I pray that the individuals that disrespect our flag and our nation will soon realize what a great nation we live in and all the freedoms and rights we enjoy in this nation didn’t just happen—we can thank our Veterans for them. Thank You Veterans!
Have you or do you ever stop to think about life on this earth—how short it is. James 4:14 tells us “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” How true this is. As a child, as a teenager, and as a young adult the shortness of life hadn’t dawned on me as it has today as an older adult. I guess that is a natural tendency for all youth but we must, regardless of our age, all realize that life is short and death is sure. Acknowledging the shortness of life we must all follow the advice given to us in Hebrew 10:23-25 “ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as in the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” We need to follow Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” If we will heed God’s words then he tells us in 1Corinthians 2:9 that “Eye has not seen nor ear heard nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
We at Ag Trader USA would like to wish everyone a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. We would also ask that you like us on Facebook—Ag Trader USA. My daughter, Velvet Roberts handles our Facebook postings.
Thank You and God Bless, Van Bennett
