Speaking of Wins: Welcome News on WOTUS, Superfund Reporting

Speaking of Wins: Welcome News on WOTUS, Superfund Reporting In case cattlemen and women gathered in Phoenix needed any more reason to celebrate, news broke this week that gives producers a little more breathing room on two pending environmental regulations: The D.C. Circuit “Court announced that new “Superfund” reporting requirements for producers under CERLCA, which could have gone into effect as early as January 22nd, have been delayed until May 1, 2018. NCBA now has extra time to work with Congress to find a permanent fix. The Environmental Protection Agency delayed implementation of the onerous 2015 Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule for an additional two years. “We thank Administrator Pruitt and his team for this prompt action which protects agricultural producers across the country and we look forward to the next steps—repeal and replace,” said NCBA President Craig Uden.
