Just Rambling:
We at Ag Trader USA are now in our 12th year of publication. How time has flown by but that is the way life is especially as one grows older. Over the years we have received so many nice notes from our subscribers and I don’t know if I have ever said “Thank You “ for these compliments. We appreciate all of these kind words very much. We started Ag Trader USA to help disseminate agriculture information and news along with giving subscribers an avenue to sell or buy farm products, cattle, horses, equipment, real estate, etc. as part of their subscription cost. I personally have sold cattle and equipment through advertising in Ag Trader USA and have had a large number of subscribers over the years that have sold or bought items through our magazine. A few years ago we added a “Spiritual Corner” article which is written by our daughter, Dana Bennett Alexander. Dana really is dedicated to the Lord and really enjoys proclaiming His word through her writing. In addition to our magazine we have had a web page since our beginning and we are now on Facebook. Our oldest daughter, Velvet Bennett Roberts, handles our Facebook postings and she does much of the photography for our magazine. We also have a PayPal account that subscribers can pay online if they so desire. Every year in January we attend the North Louisiana Ag Expo which is held at the Ike Hamilton Center in West Monroe. Our daughter, Brittany Bennett Canterberry along with my wife, Donnette, handles our booth at the Expo. Brittany is the owner of Brittany’s Originals which makes tee shirts and she has a women's clothing store in Farmerville, La. Brittany always makes a lot of agriculture type tee shirts to sell at the Ag Expo along with promoting our Ag Trader USA magazine. Recently Velvet, Brittany and Dana read, “First Peas to the Table”, to several elementary and pre-schools in the area. This book was selected by the American Farm Bureau as the book “For Ag In the Classroom.” Not only did they read to the children they also gave each child a tee-shirt which said, “IF you ate today, Thank a Farmer.” According to feedback from the teachers, the children loved this and they learned a lot about where their food comes from plus they loved the tee shirts. Our magazine is dedicated to agriculture and to promoting the Lord’s Word but we have ventured off into other areas. When my son, John Cody Bennett, was in Germany he wrote about every country he visited which was sixteen. We received a lot of positive feedback from his writings. Guess what! Cody is headed back to Germany today, June 4th, with his wife, Jenny for their Honeymoon. They will spend ten days in Berlin and he has promised to write me an article or articles about this trip and what they see in and around Berlin. Again, I would like to say “Thank You” to our subscribers and our advertisers. We send our magazines to six different states and we have subscribers as far away as California and Pennsylvania. On our Facebook page and webpage we have had contacts from China, Mexico, India and South Africa plus contacts from all over the United States. Thank you and God Bless, Van Bennett
June Scripture to Live By: Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful,
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
