“Union Parish 4-H’ers Excel during 79th Annual Northeast

“Union Parish 4-H’ers Excel during 79th Annual Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show” February 5, 2019 – Nine Union Parish 4-H’ers recently participated in the annual LSU AgCenter’s Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show in Delhi January 30th thru February 2nd. This show involves young people in 4-H and FFA from thirteen parishes in Northeast Louisiana. Our youth did an outstanding job of preparing and exhibiting their animals, which is evident in the top awards they brought home. Four of our 4-H’ers also received top honors in the Premier Exhibitor contest which involves showmanship, an exam, and a skill-a-thon. Two graduating seniors, Destiny Bearden and Haley McCann, were also awarded scholarships from the Northeast District Livestock Show Support Committee. Congratulations 4-H’ers!
