These data are also posted on our web site at https://www.nass.usda.gov/la and in a more detailed report at https://www.nass.usda.gov.Thanks to all who responded to this survey. Broiler-Type Eggs Set Up 1 Percent From Last Year Louisiana hatcheries set 3.86 million broiler-type eggs during the week ending October 26, 2019, up 1 percent from the comparable week in 2018 but down slightly from the previous week. Hatcheries in the United States weekly program set 227 million eggs in incubators during the week ending October 26, 2019, up 4 percent from a year ago. Broiler-Type Chicks Placed Down 2 Percent Louisiana broiler-type chicks placed for meat production were 2.80 million during the week ending October 26, 2019, down 2 percent from the comparable week in 2018 and down 17 percent from the previous week. Broiler growers in the United States weekly program placed 176 million for meat production during the week ending October 26, 2019, up 1 percent from a year ago.
