Just Rambling January 2017

Just Rambling:
Another year has come and gone. How time fly's—it seems only yesterday that we were beginning 2016 but now we are beginning 2017. As James 4:14 says, “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” This verse puts our life in perspective—we are only here for a short time and then we are gone. Let us always keep this in mind as we go into this new year and remember that, “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” Phil. 4:13. We need to “Trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. As 2017 begins we will have a Presidential Inauguration with a new President. Mr. Donald Trump will take the reins as President of the United States. May we all pray for Mr. Trump and Mr. Mike Pence, our new Vice President, that they may guide this country in a Christian manner. May we all truly realize that this nation was founded on Christian principals, as One Nation Under God. “ If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” - Ronald Reagan. It seems today that we have more people that denounce the Lord. What does the Lord say about this? In Psalms 14:1—He says, “The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.” May our nation not become a foolish nation. May our nation and it’s citizens always live as stated in Psalms100.
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. We hope each of you and your families had a very blessed and Merry Christmas. We hope each of you have a blessed and happy New Year of 2017. Thank you for your continued support and may God continue to Bless you, our advertisers and our readers.
Also, don’t forget the Ag Expo at the Ike Hamilton Convention Center on January 13th and 14th. Come show your support of the agricultural community and stop by to visit with us at our booth. Thank You , Van and Donnette Bennett
