Just Rambling:
The North Louisiana Agri- Business Council’s Ag Expo was held on January 13th and 14th, 2017.This is a great Agriculture event for both young and old. This year’s attendance was as follows: Paid attendance through the door—7,385, Exhibitors/volunteers/workers— approximately 1,000, Outside only attendance—approximately 1,000 and children through Ag Alley—approximately1,500. The above figures total over 10,000 for the event. To the right is a photo of our Ag Trader USA booth where we promoted our Ag Trader USA magazine and sold our daughter’s Brittany’s Originals tee shirts. We had an excellent show meeting new people and many old friends we hadn’t seen in a while. As my wife and daughter say—they are the workers and I am the public relations (visiting around the show) person. If you haven’t attended please make plans to attend Ag Expo 2018 January 19th and 20th next year. The Ag Expo is held at the Ike Hamilton facility in West Monroe which is an excellent facility. Mark your calendar now to attend in 2018 –you will be glad you did.
In our nation today we as American citizens are so divided. When I think about the division in our nation I think about these verses of scripture– James 3:13-18 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” Our nation was founded on Christian principles—One Nation Under God and In God We Trust but today a big part of our population wants to denounce, deny, or ignore God. We as a nation need to humble ourselves because as James 4:10 says—Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up. If we as a nation will submit to God and resist the devil—the devil will flee from us but if we don’t resist the devil then our nation will continue to decline. May we all pray for our nation and its new leadership to lead us back to One Nation Under God before we are a Nation gone under. Van Bennett
