Just Rambling March 2020:

Just Rambling: I am writing this “Just Rambling” from my hospital bed on Saturday at Reeves Memorial Hospital located in Bernice, La. My sickness all goes back to the operation I had in September of 2013 when Dr. Nanda had to remove a walnut size tumor from my pituitary gland located at the base of my brain. He went up my right nostril to remove the tumor then had to rebuild my sinus cavity after the operation. Doing this rebuilding has lowered my immune system and the tumor changed my pituitary gland and optic nerve. To compensate for these changes I have to take steroids every day but my hormones often get off and I have to build them back up through hormone treatment by IV. Also with my immune system being more vulnerable I have to watch being around sick people. This is what happened to me this time. I attended a La. Private Pesticide Renewal seminar in West Monroe on Thursday the 27th of February and an individual came in, shook hands with me then told me he had been sick for past 2-3 weeks. I washed my hands but he sat behind me and coughed /sneezed for 2 hours. The following Saturday night I began to get sick and by Tuesday evening I was at the doctor then Wednesday morning in the hospital and will be here at least until Monday. You see this all ties back to my operation. I thank the Lord and Dr. Nanda because without them I wouldn’t be here. This is what Dr. Nanda said, “I am the instrument to do the surgery but God is in control and we had prayer before my surgery. Afterwards he gave all the praise to God. We need more of this in our medical field and in America in general. This brings up another situation I wanted to talk about. My wife frequents a business in the area that puts a scripture on their tickets you get when you pay. She complimented one of the owners about this policy and he told her thank you but that he had had more complaints than compliments on the scriptures. This just blew me away. Why would people complain? Are people in our area and in America going away from God. It appears like that on many shows and news shows you see on TV but I was so shocked at this in the Bible Belt South. I like this business policy of putting scripture on the tickets and would encourage others to do the same. On another thought I have a friend who often has to work in Colorado with the company he works for. He told me when the day ends all the employees leave out—they never ask him about going out to eat as they do in Louisiana. He also said he was waiting on a train back to his hotel and he ask a young couple if they knew about the train he was going to have to catch by looking at his ticket. They said they didn’t but when it came they got on the same train that he did but had told him they didn’t know anything about it. He said you can tell when you get out of the “Bible Belt South”. There does appear to be a divide in our nation especially between political parties with policies being pushed that are not typical America as we have grown up in. I pray that this divide will soon be resolved and our nation can think and act as one nation under God rather than a nation in division. Pray without ceasing for our nation and may we always rejoice in the Lord for the blessings he has given us in our nation of America. On a lighter note, I have watched so much Fox News while in the hospital that I could have won a news game on the Tucker Carlson show Thursday night between Bill Hemmer and Lou Dobbs. The game show involved current news events and is multiple choice questions. Lou Dobbs won it but I beat them both so I guess I’m learning a little while in the hospital. I hope everyone has a blessed March & thank you for subscribing and reading the Ag Trader USA. We hope you get information you can use from our magazine.
Scripture To Live By: Matthew 22: 37-39 “’Love the Lord your God Van Bennett with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
